We are are partnering exclusively with a large, national industrial group to appoint an experienced Finance Transformation Lead for an initial six-month fixed-term contract. Well-established, this group has grown significantly through acquisition and continues to invest in building scalable systems, processes and operating models to support its next phase of growth.

The Role
n
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the Transformation Program Manager, this role will take ownership of the Accounting workstream within a broader Finance Transformation program.
n
This is a hands-on delivery role focused on materially changing how the Accounting function operates across process, technology and people. The mandate is to simplify and standardise accounting processes, improve month-end close, reduce manual activity, optimise the ERP environment, transition appropriate activities into Shared Services and identify practical automation and AI opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
n

Lead the Accounting workstream within the broader Finance Transformation program, driving initiatives from design through to implementation and embedding.
n
Redesign key Accounting processes, with a major focus on improving month-end close, journals, reconciliations, controls and reducing manual activity.
n
Identify and transition appropriate activities from Accounting into Shared Services, improving standardisation, ownership and scalability.
n
Partner with IT,



ERP consultants and Finance stakeholders to optimise system functionality, workflows, automation and system-generated accounting.
n
Identify and implement practical automation and AI opportunities while building a more scalable Accounting model to support future growth and M&A.;

About You
n
You will be an experienced finance transformation professional with strong accounting control knowledge and a demonstrated ability to deliver change.
n
Ideally, you will bring:
n
n
Significant Finance or Accounting transformation experience, ideally within a complex, multi-entity or acquisitive workplace.
n
Strong knowledge of end-to-end Accounting and Shared Services processes, including month-end close and process improvement.
n
Experience mapping current-state processes and designing and implementing practical future-state solutions.
n
Strong ERP and Finance systems capability, with experience partnering with IT and consultants to deliver system improvements.
n
Practical understanding of automation, AI and emerging Finance technologies, including opportunities to transition and streamline work across Accounting and Shared Services.
