Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Arabic-speaking Support Worker to provide regular in-home support to an older female client.
n
Due to the client's personal care requirements, privacy, cultural preferences and communication needs, a worker who can communicate confidently in Arabic and English is required for this service.
n
About the Role
n
The successful Support Worker will provide respectful, person-centred support to assist the client to remain safe, comfortable and independent in her own home.
n
Regular duties may include:
n
n
Assistance with personal care and activities of daily living
n
Showering and personal hygiene assistance
n
Dressing and grooming support
n
Assistance with safe mobility around the home
n
Light domestic assistance
n
General household cleaning
n
Laundry and changing bed linen
n
Meal preparation
n
Shopping assistance
n
Social support and companionship
n
Accompanying the client to appointments or community activities where required
n
Supporting the client to maintain independence and participate in daily activities
n
Monitoring the client's wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns
n
Completing accurate progress notes after each service
n
Following the client's individual care plan, preferences and goals
n
n
Applicants should have:
n
n




Ability to communicate confidently in Arabic and English
n
Previous experience in aged care, disability, home care or community support
n
Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly regarded
n
Current National Police Check
n
Current First Aid and CPR certification
n
Reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
n
Current working rights in Australia
n
Good verbal and written communication skills
n
Ability to complete accurate progress notes
n
Ability to work independently in a client's home
n
Respectful and culturally sensitive approach to care
n
