About the Role
n
Contemporary Catering is looking for an experienced Chef to join our aged-care catering team in Rooty Hill.
n
We are particularly interested in chefs with experience in South American cuisine, including Brazilian, Peruvian, Colombian, Argentinian or Chilean cooking.
n
You'll be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious and high-quality meals for our residents, while catering to individual dietary and texture requirements.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in a commercial kitchen
n
Cater to dietary and texture-modified requirements, including IDDSI
n
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and food safety
n
Work collaboratively with the kitchen and care teams
n
Assist with menu planning,



ordering and stock control
n
Minimise food waste and maintain appropriate stock levels
n
Provide variety and culturally appropriate meals for residents
n
n
About You
n
n
Commercial kitchen experience as a Chef
n
Passion for fresh, quality food
n
Experience or strong knowledge of South American cuisine
n
Ability to work confidently in a high-volume environment
n
Strong food safety and hygiene practices
n
Understanding of dietary requirements
n
Good communication and teamwork skills
n
Australian working rights or eligibility for sponsorship
n
n
Aged-care and IDDSI experience are desirable
n
