Job Description
The role:

We're looking for an Aquaculture Technician to join our team at our Proserpine Prawn Farm, located in the beautiful region between Airlie Beach and Bowen.
n
We are currently recruiting a full time max term position (6 month role): on a 2/2/3 roster. You'll play a key role in maintaining animal health and ensuring optimal conditions for prawn growth in our fast-paced aquaculture environment.
n
Responsibilities:
n

Conduct daily pond monitoring, checking prawn health, water quality and aeration systems
n
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
n
Use digital systems (iPad) to record data and complete tasks
n
Support the team with general farm operations as required
n
n
Role requirements:
n
n
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
n




Strong attention to detail and capable of identifying potential issues early
n
Reliable and safety-conscious
n
Basic technology skills - comfortable using iPads
n
Aquaculture/farming
experience (advantageous but not essential)
n
Ability to work 12-hour shifts
n
Team player with positive attitude
n
Hold adriver's licenceand have reliable transport to site
n
