This means focusing on quality over case volume, building genuine relationships and providing our consultants with the support and autonomy to deliver meaningful outcomes.Role DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our Occupational Rehabilitation team in Canberra.This role will have a particular focus on managing complex psychological cases within the Comcare scheme, so we are looking for someone who already has strong occupational rehabilitation and Comcare experience and is confident navigating complex cases and stakeholder environments.The role will include:Managing complex psychological rehabilitation and return-to-work casesConducting vocational assessments and vocational counsellingDeveloping evidence-based rehabilitation and return-to-work strategiesWorking closely with employees, employers, treating practitioners and other stakeholdersFacilitating case conferences and stakeholder meetingsProviding strategic recommendations to address barriers to recovery and return to workPreparing clear,



concise and outcome-focused rehabilitation reportsSupporting sustainable same-employer and new-employer return-to-work outcomesContributing to the broader growth and quality of ELEV8's Occupational Rehabilitation servicesFor someone with the right experience, there may also be opportunities to work across our Life Insurance and Income Protection portfolio.This is a Canberra-based hybrid role, with flexibility across workplace visits, our Canberra office and working from home.Qualifications & ExperienceTo be considered for this role, you will ideally have:A tertiary qualification in Rehabilitation CounsellingCurrent ASORC accreditationA minimum of 3 years' Occupational Rehabilitation experienceDemonstrated Comcare experienceStrong experience managing complex psychological injury casesExperience in vocational assessment, counselling and return-to-work planningStrong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with employers, insurers, treating practitioners and government stakeholdersHigh-quality report writing and clinical reasoning skillsThe ability to manage your caseload autonomously while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamHighly regarded: 12+ months' experience working within Life Insurance / Income Protection rehabilitation.Why ELEV8?
