As the Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2, you'll be recognised as a senior clinical leader within a specialist service supporting infants, children and young people with complex respiratory conditions across Hunter New England and surrounding regions.
Working within a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll have the opportunity to influence clinical practice, strengthen models of care and contribute to the ongoing development of paediatric respiratory services.Supported to Lead, Teach and InfluenceThis is more than an advanced clinical role.
You'll help shape how care is delivered, support the development of other clinicians and contribute to the continued growth of a leading tertiary paediatric service.You'll have the opportunity toProvide specialist clinical advice and advanced care for complex paediatric respiratory conditionsLead multidisciplinary care to deliver protected, evidence-based and family-centred outcomesLead the development and evaluation of clinical practices, policies and care pathwaysMentor and support nursing and multidisciplinary teams through education and clinical leadershipDrive research, quality improvement, innovation and service developmentBuild strong partnerships with families, healthcare providers and community servicesSupport outreach services across Hunter New EnglandPromote culturally safe and equitable care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and familiesYour Next Step in Clinical LeadershipWe're looking for an experienced paediatric nurse who is ready to use their knowledge and leadership skills to make a broader impact across respiratory services.To Be Successful,



You'll HaveCurrent Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA (Essential)At least 5 years' full-time equivalent post-registration experience in Paediatric Nursing (Essential)Postgraduate qualifications relevant to Paediatric Nursing or Paediatric Respiratory Nursing, or be working towards a relevant qualificationDemonstrated clinical expertise in paediatric respiratory nursingStrong communication, consultation and negotiation skillsA commitment to evidence-based practice, research and continuous improvementThe ability to travel throughout HNE Local Health District to support outreach servicesYour development matters to us.
