701 Recruitmentis currently seeking experiencedExcavator Operatorsto join our team and work across a range of civil construction projects throughout South East Queensland.
n
We're looking for operators who are confident on the machine, have solid civil experience and can assist with detailed excavation and final trim works.
n
What's on offer?

$43-$47/hr + penalties & allowances, dependent on experience (casual rate)
n
$50+ per hour transition rate following a successful transition into the role
n
Fuel card provided once established in the role
n
Full-time operators will be provided with their own ute
n
Ongoing work with opportunities for long-term employment
n
Projects ranging from the Gold Coast through to the Sunshine Coast
n
n
Long-term applicants must be versatile and prepared to work across projects from the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast as required.

About the role
n
n
Operating excavators safely and efficiently on civil construction sites (Operating 5T,14T, 20T- Must be confident operating smaller machines)
n




Working in tight proximity to other plant and overhead/underground services
n
Digging around footings
n
Stripping footings
n
Basic trimming
n
Final trimming to within a 30mm tolerance
n
Bulk excavation and earthworks
n
Trenching and detailed excavation
n
Loading trucks and moving materials
n
Working around existing services and other plant
n
Completing daily pre-starts and basic machine checks
n
Assisting with general labouring duties when required
n
n
What you'll need:
n
n
Excavator RII -mandatory
n
White Card
n
Flexibility to work across Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast project
n
Own reliable transport
n
Proven experience operating excavators in a civil construction environment
n
Ability to final trim to within a 30mm tolerance
n
GPS experience highly regarded, but not essential
n
Strong understanding of civil construction practices
n
Reliable, hardworking and safety-focused attitude
n
