This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.Purpose of the Role:To provide basic to advanced desktop side troubleshooting, maintenance and IT support to our end users, both locally and remotely.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or Telecommunications or related disciplineIndustry based Certifications and/or formal training such as: MCSA/MCSE/CCNA /ITIL or other related coursesWhite CardExperience:Minimum 2 years' experience supporting an IT environment with over 60 computers.
Providing support to multiple sitesExperience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferredKnowledge of TCP/IP networking, LAN, Wireless NetworksFamiliar with General Operating Systems, Enterprise Programming languages and office softwareWorking knowledge of Back up and VirtualisationStrong understanding of IT PrincipalsSound understanding of application life cycle and operating systemsStrong understanding of Network Infrastructure and related topologyUnderstanding of IT securityLanguage:
fluent English mandatory; an additional language constitutes an advantageA solid commitment to a team-based environment, with strong collaborative skillsCommunication – strong verbal and written communication skillsSound analytical problem-solving skillsGrowth mindset and willingness to accept criticismStrong problem-solving abilityWell-developed time management skillsExceptional attention to detailCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Assist IT Network Supervisor in fulfilling sites IT needsTroubleshooting all FGJV personnel IT mattersExcellent PC/laptop troubleshooting skills (both software and hardware);Set up computer, printer, email, mobile device for end users.Configure SOHO router, WIFI AP, patch network cable, understanding the meaning of Cisco switches' LED lights.Ability to train staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.Ability to check Security software and regular update and patch management,IT assets managementAbility to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issuesWeekly Reporting to IT Manager and Head of ICTThe above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.As an employee you will be eligible to participate in a number of additional employee benefits.
