What we need from you:
Strong experience as a Software Developer / Software Engineer delivering production software solutions.
Strong hands-on experience with Python.
Proven experience building and maintaining solutions using AWS, particularly Serverless technologies.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably AWS CDK.
Robust understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD, particularly AWS CodePipeline.
Experience working in Agile software development environments.
Ability to work autonomously in broad direction and take ownership of deliverables.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams, including software developers, data scientists, ML engineers, business analysts and SMEs.
Experience delivering Proofs of Concept through to production capabilities.
Experience in a government agency environment is highly desirable.

What you'll do:
Design, develop and maintain production software solutions using Python and AWS.
Develop and deliver AWS Serverless applications.
Build Proofs of Concept in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts and business stakeholders.
Take solutions from experimentation through to production and operational use.




Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably using AWS CDK.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Contribute to technical documentation and software development standards.
Maintain existing production systems and undertake continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary Agile team.
Contribute ideas and technical expertise around emerging technologies and responsible AI.
Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to support AI/ML initiatives.
Contribute to improving code quality, development practices and delivery processes.
