As a key member of our Retail Network leadership team, you'll create an outstanding customer experience, support your team to succeed, and help grow our presence within the Canberra community.About the RoleThis is a hands-on "lender leader" role where you'll be responsible for growing a successful local business by leading a high-performing team while making a genuine difference in your community.
Responsibilities include:Drive lending growth, build referral networks and create exceptional member outcomesManaging the loan process from completing loan interviews, processing applications through to assessment and approvalBeing prepared to serve member needs how they want to engage with IMB; including local face to face members, digitally driven interactions and phone calls.Generating new lending opportunities through proactive business development activitiesLeading, coaching and developing a small team to achieve lending, deposit, service, business and employee growth objectivesCreating a positive,



customer-focused culture that helps more members achieve home ownershipProactively identifying opportunities to support members and small businesses with lending and broader banking solutionsBuilding relationships with members, referral partners, local businesses and community networksManaging day-to-day branch operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk requirementsWorking collaboratively with colleagues across the broader IMB network to deliver positive outcomes for membersAbout YouYou are a relationship builder, lending specialist and people leader who is passionate about helping members succeed.Proven experience in achieving lending growth and writing and managing residential home loans from application to settlementLeadership experience with a strong track record of coaching, motivating and developing teamsExperience within banking, financial services, or a customer-focused environmentA genuine passion for customer service and building long-term relationshipsStrong business development and networking skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA proactive approach to identifying opportunities and supporting business growthSound understanding of operating within a regulated environment.Why IMB?
