Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Reporting to the Senior Technical Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating electrical designs that are safe, practical, legally compliant, and meet customer requirements.
Working closely with the broader Engineering team, you'll develop CAD designs and all relevant supporting documentation, including calculations, risk assessments, and compliance documentation, for review and approval.This role provides the opportunity to play a key part in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant electrical design solutions that support machine modifications, new build projects, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed electrical schematics, harness designs, and CAD drawings to support machine modifications and recent build projectsInterpret technical specifications and customer requirements to deliver practical, safe, and compliant engineering solutionsPrepare accurate engineering documentation, including calculations, risk assessments, compliance records, and design reportsConduct and support design reviews, quality checks, and verification activities to ensure engineering standards are metMaintain engineering documentation, as-built drawings, and configuration control records throughout the project lifecycleCreate as-built schematics for customer-specific projects following machine build completionSkills and ExperienceSignificant experiencein a design drafting role within mining, heavy machinery,
mobileequipmentor a similar industrial environmentQualifications in Electrical Engineering or Certificate IV in Engineering, with equivalent industry experience in Electrical Engineering DraftingAbility to interpret technical requirements and develop practical, fit-for-purpose design solutionsStrong attention to detail, time managementskillsand a commitment to working safely and collaborativelyExperience with Caterpillar, SIS and Autocad Electrical desirableWhy WesTrac?
