If you enjoy integrating complex software, solving challenging technical problems and working with highly skilled engineering teams, this is an opportunity to contribute to technology that protects Australia's national interests while building a long-term career with one of the country's leading defence organisations.About the OpportunityAs an Integration Engineer, you'll work within multidisciplinary engineering teams responsible for integrating, configuring and validating software that is mission-essential, safety-critical and deployed on world-class naval platforms.
Working on the Saab 9LV Combat Management System, you'll collaborate with software developers, systems engineers and test specialists to integrate complex software into realistic operational environments and support successful system delivery.
Every day presents new technical challenges—from Linux administration and containerised applications to networking, automation and system-level troubleshooting.What You'll Be DoingIntegrating software into Linux-based integration and test environmentsConfiguring and maintaining virtual machines, servers and networking infrastructureDeploying and supporting containerised applications using DockerTroubleshooting software, infrastructure and integration issuesDeveloping automation scriptsSupporting Test Readiness Reviews, Integration Testing and System Testing activitiesSupporting customer system installation and troubleshootingProducing integration documentation and technical proceduresWorking collaboratively with software, systems and test engineering teamsMaintaining Jira tasks, effort estimates and defect recordsTravel opportunities in supporting system installations and troubleshooting at customer sitesAbout YouA degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline,



or equivalent industry experience.Australian Citizenship.Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1 or higher).
Eligibility to access ITAR-controlled information.You'll ideally bring experience in several of the following:Linux administrationIP networkingDockerVirtualisation TechnologiesVersion Control Tools, such as Git Bash or Python scriptingAnsibleAgile software developmentSystems integrationDefence or safety-critical softwareUnderstanding of Data Distribution Service (DDS) and related diagnostic toolsIBM DOORSAtlassian tool suiteTest automation frameworksProfessional AttributesStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to convey technical information clearlyAdaptability and willingness to learnAbility to work in past-paced dynamic environmentsDon't Meet Every Requirement?
