The menu celebrates Italian cuisine at its best - from antipasti and handmade pastas to seasonal specials - supported by a thoughtfully curated wine list and cocktail program.We are now looking for experienced Section Waiters and Sommeliers who are passionate about great service, Italian food and wine, and creating memorable guest experiences.This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing hospitality group, work alongside experienced industry professionals and build a long-term career within Maestro Hospitality.The OpportunityAs a Section Waiter or Sommelier, you will play an important role in delivering the warm, polished and knowledgeable style of service Postino is known for.Working across our 130-seat restaurant, you will take ownership of your section and contribute to à la carte service, group dining and special events.Your role will include:Confidently managing your own section throughout serviceBuilding genuine connections with guestsGuiding guests through our food and beverage offeringProviding informed menu, wine and pairing recommendationsManaging orders, dietary requirements,



billing and payments accuratelyWorking closely with both FOH and BOH teams to ensure seamless serviceMaintaining your section to an exceptional standard throughout serviceAbout YouWe are looking for hospitality professionals who bring energy, personality and confidence to the floor.To be considered, you will ideally have:1-3 years experience as a Section Waiter / Sommelier within premium or fine dining restaurant environments, or a Diploma in HospitalityStrong knowledge of restaurant service standardsA genuine passion for hospitality and guest engagementExcellent communication and rapport-building skillsExperience managing a wine programStrong attention to detail and presentationExperience using restaurant-based POS systemsThe ability to perform confidently in a busy, high-volume environmentA current NSW RSAFull Australian working rightsHighly RegardedWe would especially love to hear from candidates with:Strong Italian food and wine knowledgeSommelier or dedicated wine service experienceExperience providing food and wine pairingsFormal hospitality, wine or sommelier qualificationsSevenRooms or similar reservation system experienceWhy Join Postino Osteria?
