This is a busy referral hospital with a high-volume Emergency Department, servicing a diverse population across metropolitan and regional catchments.
You'll be joining a collaborative and well-structured ED with strong senior clinician presence, supportive FACEM leadership, and a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.The OpportunityThis Career Medical Officer (CMO) role offers a agile and fast-paced ED environment with exposure to a broad case mix including acute medical, surgical, trauma and paediatric presentations.
You will work under indirect supervision while also playing a key role in supervising junior doctors, particularly during after-hours shifts.The department operates 24/7 with a structured roster including evenings, nights, and weekends.
There is also the opportunity to rotate across additional sites within the local health district, offering further clinical exposure and variety.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality emergency care within a busy ED settingWork collaboratively with senior clinicians and multidisciplinary teamsSupervise and support junior medical staff, particularly during after-hoursParticipate in a rotating roster including evenings, nights and weekendsContribute to a positive team culture and safe clinical environmentAbout YouMBBS (or equivalent)
