Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support young people with diverse mental health, physical health, vocational, and substance use needs through an early intervention approach.
Experience working with eating disorders is highly desirableYour key responsibilities will be to:Provide psychological assessment and evidence-based psychological therapy for young people ******) with emerging or established mental health disorders under an early-intervention (clinical staging) framework of service deliveryin collaboration with the headspace team, provide follow up assessments for young people with emerging mental health disorders using a standardised assessment formatwork with a high level of independence & autonomy in coordination & administration of a busy youth mental health serviceability to liaise closely with onsite independent practitioners,



local referral agencies and other servicescarry out all tasks with professionalism, tact, sensitivity, confidentiality and discretion and work calmly under pressure; Problem solve decisively and responsibly in dealing with difficult situations including clinical issuesmaintain accurate and timely case notes and records inputting data required by headspace National and headspace Camperdownadhere to headspace Camperdown Clinical Governance Framework, policies and proceduresusing IT systems including Microsoft Office, Email, Practice Management Software provided onsite e.g. Blue Chip and Medical Director, and data collection tools as determined by the Brain and Mind Research Institute and headspace National Office.
Ensure data entry compliance.participate in relevant Clinical Meetingsto participate in headspace Camperdown community awareness activities promoting the health and wellbeing of young people and liaise with relevant community groups, government and non government service providers.participate in quality improvement projects and researchmaintain a working knowledge of current legislation and government policy in relation to mental health and alcohol and other drug disorders, particularly as it relates to young people in NSWparticipate in training and career development as required by headspace,



and any other tasks appropriate to classification as requested by the supervisor.About youPostgraduate qualifications - Clinical PsychologyAHPRA registration as a psychologist with an endorsed area of practise in clinical psychologyexperience in psychological assessment and intervention services for young people aged ***** years who have mental health, alcohol and other drug problemscompetence regarding clinical information systems, software packages and willingness to be trained and implement MDS, the headspace data collection and registration toolcomputer literate, with familiarity with the Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office applications and capacity to learn how to use a new clinical software package for keeping of electronic client recordsdemonstrated ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with young people, family/carers, workers and other agencieswell developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving, advocacy and negotiation skills.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaYou must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.
