We embrace the ever changing landscape that is the Construction and Building Industry to make sure we are bringing something exclusive to every project.ABOUT THE ROLETwentythree Projects is seeking a Purchasing Officer to join our joinery division on a part-time basis ******hrs per week).
This role is integral to our operations, ensuring that procurement activities are executed efficiently and cost-effectively.
As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a vital role in managing our supply chain, sourcing materials and services, and maintaining relationships with our key suppliers.
This position offers the flexibility of part-time work whilst providing meaningful contribution to our organisation's success.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGIdentifying and evaluating potential suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness and reliabilityPreparing and issuing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and proceduresNegotiating terms,
pricing and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimise cost savingsMonitoring inventory levels and coordinating with relevant departments to ensure adequate stock availabilityProcessing invoices and resolving discrepancies between purchase orders, delivery notes and supplier invoicesMaintaining detailed records of purchases, supplier information and procurement documentationCommunicating with internal stakeholders regarding procurement status, lead times and any supply chain issuesAssisting with the development and implementation of procurement strategies to improve efficiencySupporting the management of supplier contracts and ensuring compliance with agreed termsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORProven experience in a purchasing or procurement role within the manufacturing industryStrong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management and supplier relationship managementProficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent negotiation skills with the ability to achieve favourable terms whilst maintaining positive supplier relationshipsStrong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple purchase orders simultaneouslyMeticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keepingAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentStrong communication skills, both written and verbalRelevant qualifications or certifications in procurement, supply chain management or logistics (preferred)Demonstrated experience with cost reduction initiatives and process improvementTEAM & BENEFITSThis is a permanent, part-time role where you'll become a key part of the team not just another number.We're a down-to‐earth bunch who take pride in what we do, support each other, and enjoy the ride along the way.
