McCartney Family Funerals | Brisbane, QLD | Full-TimeCreate work that means something.McCartney Family Funerals is looking for a talented Junior Multimedia Designer to join our team and help us redefine what creative design can look like within the funeral industry.This is not a conventional graphic design role.At the heart of the position is creating beautiful, highly personalised funeral stationery and multimedia experiences for the families we care for.
Every person has a story, and your work will help families tell that story through thoughtful design, imagery, photography, video and digital media.You'll create service booklets, memorial stationery, photo reflections, tribute presentations, online tributes and other personalised materials that form an important part of a funeral service and often become treasured keepsakes for families.
The existing position is specifically focused on creating customised memorial materials and working collaboratively with our funeral team to deliver meaningful, personalised media.We don't want our work to simply be positive for the funeral industry.
We want it to be exceptional by any design standard.
We're looking for someone who shares that ambition and takes genuine pride in the details.What you'll be doingWhile Funeral Service Design And Multimedia Will Be Your Primary Focus, You'll Have The Opportunity To Work Across a Broad Creative Portfolio, IncludingDesigning personalised funeral service stationery, memorial materials and other print collateralCreating and editing photo reflections, tribute presentations, video and multimedia contentDeveloping online tributes and digital memorial contentWorking with our funeral professionals to turn family ideas, photographs and stories into meaningful creative conceptsProducing brand collateral,
advertising creative and marketing campaign assetsHelping maintain and evolve the visual identity of McCartney Family Funerals and our associated brandsMaintaining and updating WordPress/Elementor websites, e-commerce content and digital assetsPhotography, videography and post-productionPreparing artwork for professional printing and coordinating with external suppliersManaging multiple creative briefs and deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality and accuracyExploring new technologies, design techniques and creative approaches that can improve the experience we provide to families.The role spans graphic design, digital content, multimedia production, brand management and quality control, with a strong emphasis on delivering multiple projects accurately and to a high standard.Who we're looking forWe're particularly interested in recent graduates and emerging designers with strong creative instincts, technical capability and a portfolio that demonstrates genuine design ability.You'll be comfortable working within the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, and ideally have experience or an interest in video editing, photography, web design and multimedia production.Just as importantly, you'll have an exceptional eye for typography, composition, imagery, colour and detail.You don't need years of industry experience.
We are more interested in your portfolio, creativity, attitude, technical foundations and potential.Because of the nature of our work,
you'll also need maturity and emotional intelligence.
You'll regularly work with photographs and stories belonging to people who have died, and the work you produce matters deeply to the families receiving it.
Sensitivity, confidentiality, accuracy and respect are therefore fundamental to the role.What makes this role differentThere is a genuine purpose behind what you create.One day you might be designing a highly personalised funeral service booklet or creating a photographic tribute celebrating someone's life.
The next, you could be developing an advertising campaign, photographing content, editing video, updating a website or creating a new digital experience.You'll have the opportunity to develop across print, digital, multimedia, web, photography, videography and brand design, rather than being confined to one narrow area of design.Most importantly, your work will be seen and valued.
