This position predominantly assists with the menu ordering, preparation and service of all food and beverages to our patients.Applicants need to be prepared to work a variety of shifts across a seven-day work week, including day and evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Shifts are available between 6:30AM - 9:00PM Monday-Sunday.Key responsibilities will include:Assisting patients with menu orderingPreparation of food for our patientsCleaning of kitchen and equipmentProviding service to patient rooms and associated areasWorking with other hospital team members to optimise the safety, care and overall experience of our patientsWhat we're looking forFood Handlers Certificate (or the willingness to undertake at Cabrini)Knowledge of culinary and nutritional terminology including diet codes (preferable)Experience in a food service industry or service industry of at least 12 months will be highly regardedA willingness to learn and be given directivesWell-developed communication skills including proficiency in written and spoken EnglishA flexible approach to work and be adaptable in a fast paced environmentEffective interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to build positive and professional working relationships with patients and colleaguesCabrini offers:Tax savings to increase your take-home pay with Salary Packaging up to $18,850 per annumAttractive hourly rates including casual loading and guaranteed annual increases + 13% SuperAccess to a range of staff benefits including retail offers, discounted hospital services and savings on eligible private health fund servicesLocation close to public transport.
