The Role
We have an exciting role available as a Teacher, Cookery, primarily based at TAFE Queensland's Toowoomba Campus.
However, you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
As a TAFE Teacher you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting.

This position is available on a temporary part-time basis (0.5 FTE) until 25 March ****, unless otherwise determined,
and reports to the Educational Team Leader.
Salary
The salary range for a TAFE Teacher is $46,465 - $61,042 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience.

Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must possess Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, and the following:
current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;
current Queensland Driver's Licence;
current Blue Card or Exemption Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement), to comply with the Working with Children Check Act **** .
Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:
TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or
TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
TAE***** Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
TAE***** or TAE***** Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
TAE***** or TAE***** Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
A secondary teaching qualification and one (1) of the following credentials:
TAESS***** VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor; or
TAESS***** or TAESS***** Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or
A higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Highly Desirable
Candidates Who Possess The Following Will Be Highly Regarded
Certificate III or Diploma in Hospitality.
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems).
Industry currency – minimum of 2 years' experience in Commercial Cookery.
