Your responsibilities will include conducting analyses in line with quality standards, identifying anomalies in samples, organizing tasks to optimize workflow, and ensuring deadlines are met.
You will also calibrate and maintain equipment, manage laboratory consumables, maintain a clean and sterile workspace, and perform calculations as needed.The day to dayPreparation and analysis of environmental samplesEnsuring that preparation and analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with ALS Quality Work InstructionsOrganising designated tasks to maximise daily efficienciesCompleting all tasks within both the timeframe set by the Supervisor and the relevant analysis standardHighlighting anomalies in results and sample type/behaviourThe EssentialsThe Laboratory Technician should possess:One year's relevant experience (a degree or diploma preferred).
High level of attention to detail, positive communication and organisational skillsUnderstanding of good laboratory practicesA high level of computer literacyAbility to work well in a team environmentGreat time managementAdditionally,
