Role PurposeThe Data Governance Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operationalizing enterprise-wide Data Governance frameworks, policies, processes, and governance operating models.
The role will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, data stewards, architects, and technology teams to establish trusted, secure, compliant, and high-quality data management practices leveraging Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC).
The consultant will drive governance initiatives across metadata management, business glossary, data lineage, data quality, data classification, stewardship, and regulatory compliance while enabling business value through improved data transparency and accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesData Governance Strategy & FrameworkDesign and implement enterprise Data Governance frameworks, standards, policies, and procedures.Define governance operating models, decision rights, governance forums, and escalation paths.Establish governance roles including Data Owners, Data Stewards, Custodians, and Governance Councils.Develop governance roadmaps aligned with organizational data strategy and compliance requirementsInformatica CDGC ImplementationLead implementation and configuration of Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog.Configure business glossaries, metadata repositories, classifications, and governance workflows.Implement automated metadata harvesting and lineage capabilities.Enable integration with enterprise data platforms including Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, and SQL-based systemsMetadata & Business Glossary ManagementEstablish enterprise metadata management practices.Develop business glossaries and taxonomy models.Define ownership, stewardship,
