Administration Officer - Activity Optimisation (Grade 3) - Ambulatory Services
About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Full-Time position at 40 hours per fortnight within Ambulatory Services.
You will be responsible for supporting initiatives that improve the accuracy, quality and compliance of clinical activity capture, reporting and funding across VINAH and MBS.
You will work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to identify improvement opportunities, resolve data quality issues and support changes that improve activity reporting and operational efficiency.
Classification for this position will range from AO31- AO35 (FTE base salary $77,****** to $85,****** per annum, plus superannuation).
What you'll achieve:
Review and reconcile clinical activity data to identify gaps, errors and opportunities for improvement.
Support accurate and compliant activity capture, reporting and funding across VINAH and MBS.
Develop and maintain reporting to identify trends, monitor performance and support decision-making.
Support the implementation of activity optimisation initiatives that improve data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Your skills and experience
Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital administrative setting.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Experience with healthcare activity, funding or reporting systems, including VINAH or MBS, would be highly regarded.

About the Department




Ambulatory Services at the Royal Children's Hospital provides coordinated outpatient and non-admitted care across all clinical specialties.
The service supports timely access to healthcare, ensuring patients receive high-quality care while promoting efficient hospital operations.
Ambulatory Services works closely with multidisciplinary teams to manage appointments, data reporting, and patient flow, supporting both clinical and administrative excellence across the organisation.
