About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic General Surgical Short Stay Ward team.
This fast-paced unit provides high-quality care for patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, patient-centred care while ensuring efficient patient flow and excellent clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients
Monitor and assess patients' conditions, vital signs, and wound healing
Administer medications and manage pain control effectively
Educate patients and families regarding post-surgical care and discharge plans
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital policy
Ensure infection prevention and control standards are upheld
What we're looking for
Registered Nurse (RN) with AHPRA registration
Previous experience in a surgical or acute care ward preferred
Robust clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and nights
Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-focused care
