About the Role:
This is a permanent, part-time position at 8 hours per fortnight within the Long Term Follow-Up Program (LTFP).
You will be based at Monash Children's Hospital, Clayton leading RCH Outreach Clinics.
You will be responsible for:
Leading LTFP clinics at Monash Children's Hospital, Clayton as an outreach of the statewide program.
These multidisciplinary clinics support children who have completed their cancer treatment and require survivorship care.
Internally, this position may otherwise be known and/or referred to as: Medical Consultant – Long Term Follow-Up Program (LTFP).
Classification for this position will be in accordance with AMA Victoria – Victoria Public Health Sector Medical Specialists Agreement *********.
What you'll achieve:
Lead the multi-disciplinary team to deliver clinical care to children and adolescents who have completed their cancer treatment
Support service improvements within the program
Your skills and experience:
Experience in managing the clinical care of children and adolescents during cancer treatment
Experience in oncology survivorship care
FRACP or equivalent
Current registration as a Specialist Medical Practitioner with AHPRA

About the Department:
The Long Term Follow-Up Program (LTFP) is a state-wide Paediatric Oncology Survivorship program, providing clinical follow up to children and adolescents under the age of 18 who have previously been treated for cancer.
The service provides a multi-disciplinary team approach to the management of the side effects of cancer treatment and the continued surveillance of childhood cancer survivors.
The clinics are delivered at RCH, Parkville and MCH, Clayton and at regional partner hospitals.
The LTFP liaises with the Regional Outreach Shared Care Program to support the delivery of Long Term Follow-Up to patients living in regional and rural Victoria.




It provides each individual with a tailored approach to meet their ongoing needs and an appropriate transition plan to adult-based, community or hospital services.

Other requirements:
Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain
Valid Working with Children Check
Compliance with RCHs "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure
