Digital Engineering Lead
to drive innovation and technical excellence across digital delivery.
The Opportunity
This is a senior leadership role suited to a professional who combines
strategic thinking with strong technical expertise
in digital engineering.
You will lead
the development and integration of digital technologies across power and energy assets, enhancing performance, reliability, safety, and lifecycle outcomes.
You will play a key role
in shaping and delivering digital engineering strategies across generation, transmission, and distribution projects, while mentoring teams and advancing digital capability across the business.
Responsibilities
Lead the production of drawings, models, and digital engineering deliverables for transmission and distribution substations and high-voltage infrastructure
Deliver engineering outputs in line with client standards, quality requirements, and document management systems
Plan and manage resources and digital delivery activities to support efficient project execution
Develop and lead digital engineering strategy across generation, transmission, and distribution assets
Oversee implementation of digital tools and platforms, including BIM, digital twins, SCADA integrations, and asset data systems
Collaborate with engineering, operations, IT,
and cyber security teams to deliver scalable, integrated solutions
Embed data-driven practices into project delivery and asset lifecycle management
Govern digital engineering standards, architecture, and quality frameworks
Build and promote digital engineering capability, culture, and ways of working across the organisation
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders
Requirements
Education and Professional Background
Demonstrated experience (10+ years) in design, drafting, 3D modelling, and BIM for high-voltage infrastructure including substations, industrial facilities, and renewable energy or storage projects
Technical and Industry Knowledge
Multidisciplinary delivery experience across electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical services
Knowledge of international, Australian, and network service provider (NSP) design standards
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Revit
Experience with PLS-CADD (desirable)
BIM experience (desirable)
