You'll learn how our products are made, marketed, and sold to major retailers, while working alongside a highly experienced national finance team.Supporting critical financial processes and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll contribute to the accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement of our finance operations while gaining exposure to a diverse range of accounting activities in a dynamic FMCG environment.This is not a senior role yet a great career prospect for someone who has 2-4 years' experience and wants to learn and grow their finance capabilities.
We are medium sized business which means you will have daily access to colleagues in other teams and at all levels.
You won't be stuck in a corner processing by yourself all day!
Key Responsibilities:Manage daily bank reconciliations and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and controlSupport month-end activities, including journal preparation, expense reviews, period-end processing, and reconciliation of financial accountsMaintain the fixed asset register, including asset capitalisation, disposals, transfer,



and depreciation forecastingAssist with IFRS16 lease accounting, including monthly journals and budget and forecasting activitiesSupport compliance and reporting requirements through the preparation of BAS, FBT, expense reporting and ABS submissionsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance finance processes, systems and ways of workingTo Succeed with Us:2-4 years' experience in an Assistant Accountant or Financial AccountantA tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business, with CA or CPA studies underway or plannedStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlinesIntermediate to advanced Excel skills and confidence working with ERP systemsWell-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindsetExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, coupled with a collaborative and adaptable approachThe Perks – We Can Offer:Hybrid working model – enjoy the flexibility of working from home up to 2 days a weekA collaborative, inclusive and engaging culture – be part of a team that genuinely values its peopleWellbeing days – take time to recharge and put yourself firstPaid Parental leave – 12 weeks of paid parental leave for primary care givers and 3 weeks for secondary care givers...Because life outside of work matters too!
