Join us at Mercy Health and help our teams deliver even greater outcomes.About the opportunity:We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to support our Residential Aged Care Home and Seniors Living Units at our Aged Care precinct in Parkville.
In this role, you will ensure our buildings, grounds and facilities remain safe, functional, and well‐maintained for residents, staff and visitors.
As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the on‐going repairs, preventative maintenance and general upkeep of the facility.
You will also assist with identifying and addressing safety concerns to support a secure and comfortable environment for everyone on site.
Your work will play a key role in ensuring our ILUs and RAC facility remain safe, presentable and operational.Carry out ground's maintenance, on‐going repairs and preventative servicing of buildings,



plant, equipment and furnitureLiaise with and oversee contractors, including site access and inductionsIdentify, report and implement opportunities for improvement across the facilityAssist in identifying and rectifying WHS/OH&S; issues to maintain a safe environmentMaintain accurate records using computer-based maintenance systemsContribute positively to a collaborative, resident‐focused team environmentPlease contact us if you would like to find out more or communicate any requirements to ensure we provide you with a fair and equitable interview and selection process.What you'll bring:Strong time management, organisational and communication skillsA compassionate, flexible and solutions‐focused approachThe ability to build respectful relationships and work both independently and within a teamPrevious maintenance experience (trade background or qualification preferred but not essential)Experience in Aged Care or hotel/hospital settings (highly regarded)Proficient computer skills: experience with maintenance management systems is an advantageGood knowledge of WHS/OH&S; standards and regulatory maintenance requirements for aged care and independent livingExperience managing contractors and understanding of essential systems such as HVAC, essential services,
