Join The Shoe Group and play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll for our national team.The Shoe Group (TSG) is looking for an experienced and detail-focused Payroll Officer to join our Payroll team at our Support Office in Gillman.Reporting to the Payroll & Compliance Manager, you will support the accurate and timely processing and administration of payroll across our business while providing a high level of service to our team members and managers.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the detail of payroll, thrives in a rapid-paced environment and takes pride in getting things right.What You'll Be DoingSupporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll across TSGReviewing and validating time and attendance informationMaintaining employee payroll records, including new starters and employment changesProcessing approved allowances, deductions and payroll adjustmentsInvestigating payroll discrepancies and assisting with pay-related enquiriesSupporting managers with timesheet and time and attendance issuesMaintaining accurate payroll documentation and employee recordsApplying relevant Awards and payroll requirementsResponding to payroll enquiries from team members and managersMaintaining strict confidentiality of payroll and employee informationIdentifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and administrationWorking closely with People & Culture, Retail, our Distribution Centre and other Support Office teamsThese responsibilities reflect the existing role's focus on payroll files, time and attendance, employee records, allowances and deductions,
pay adjustments and accurate and timely employee payments.About YouPrevious experience in payroll administration and payroll processingExperience using payroll and time and attendance systemsStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyStrong Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skillsGood numerical, analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organisation and time-management skillsA strong customer service mindsetConfidence communicating with team members and managers at all levelsThe ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical payroll deadlineA high level of discretion when handling confidential employee informationA proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approachExperience using Dayforce would be highly regarded, as would previous experience working with payroll in a multi-site, roster-based or retail workplace.
Dayforce is also specifically identified as preferable in the existing Payroll Officer requirements.Why join TSG?
