Finished your studies and looking for an opportunity to actually build a career in Work Health & Safety?
PMFresh is looking for a motivated Safety Graduate to join our People and Culture team at our Homebush site.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your graduate year watching from the sidelines.
You'll be working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, gaining real, practical safety experience and working directly with our National Safety & Environment Manager, operational leaders and frontline teams.
You'll get exposure to the kind of work that will build the foundations for your future career as a Safety Advisor, HSE Advisor or Safety Business Partner.
What you'll get exposure to
From day one, you'll learn by getting involved in:
Incident investigations and root cause analysisWorkplace inspections and hazard identificationRisk assessments and Safe Work ProceduresSafety observations and leadership safety walksCorrective action managementToolbox talks, inductions and safety trainingWHS systems and complianceInternal and external auditsRegulatory requirements and regulator interactionsWorkers compensation and injury managementEnvironmental compliance and sustainability activitiesWorking directly with operational leaders and employees to improve safety
Most importantly, you'll learn how safety actually works in a live manufacturing environment — not just how it works in a textbook.
Who we're looking for
This prospect would suit someone who is early in their safety career and wants to learn, develop and take on responsibility.

You may be a recent graduate, completing your studies, or someone with a WHS qualification looking for your first real opportunity in the industry.
You'll ideally have:
Certificate IV or higher in Work Health & SafetyA genuine interest in developing a career in WHSStrong communication and people skillsConfidence engaging with people at different levelsGood attention to detail and organisational skillsA proactive attitude — someone who asks questions, gets involved and wants to learn
Previous safety experience is desirable, but not essential.
Experience through university placements, internships, part-time employment or operational/manufacturing environments will all be considered.
HR/IR qualifications, Training and Assessment Cert IV, Return-to-Work Coordinator certification and First Aid qualifications would be advantageous but aren't essential.
Where could this role take you?
We're looking for someone who doesn't simply want their first safety job — we're looking for someone who wants to build a career in safety.
The role has been designed to develop your capability across operational safety, investigations, risk management, compliance, injury management and safety leadership.
As your capability grows, potential future pathways include:
At PMFresh, you'll have the opportunity to learn in an environment where safety decisions have a real impact on people every day.
If you're ambitious, curious and ready to turn your WHS studies into practical experience, we'd love to hear from you.
