These are two of Western Australia's premier gold operations, with ongoing investment and exploration taking place across both open pit and underground operations at each site.The OpportunityWe are now seeking an Electrical Technician to join our Underground Electrical Maintenance team in our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine.
Reporting to the Underground Electrical Maintenance Supervisor: you will have the opportunity to provide front line support and ensure all electrical works are carried out in a safe, timely, cost effective and environmentally responsible manner.This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.Accountabilities:Doing repairs, maintenance and installation activities on infrastructure such as, motors, VSDs, transformers, substations, starter panels, distribution boards, RMU's, ventilation fans, dewatering systems, instrumentation, communications, lighting, and other electrical systemsCarrying out scheduled statutory requirements work safely and efficiently.Installing and maintaining underground reticulation systems,



ensuring reliable power distribution.Conducting breakdown and maintenance tasks on underground drilling equipment to minimize downtime.Studying plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and or installationsAvailability after hours on a "Call Out" roster basis to respond to any equipment breakdownAssist with equipment maintenance shutdown or power isolation co-ordination and executionAbout YouPeople are at the heart of everything we do.
We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo.To be considered, we would like to see you have:Unrestricted WA Electrical Licence (Essential)Electrical Instrumentation Certificate, PLCs and Automation experience (Desirable)Data cabler's license advantageousMining or heavy industry electrical maintenance experience (Essential)Underground Mining electrical maintenance experience is preferredKnowledge of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations, AS/NZS **** and other relevant Australian Standards.Current High Voltage Switching certificate - however can assist with obtainingComputer literacy: Word, Excel, Microsoft Projects, and SAPWA 'C' Class manual driver's licenseSenior First AidExisting and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia (mandatory)Culture and benefitsWe foster a workplace built on dignity and respect.
