Stillwell Hotel is a renowned destination for summer getaways, offering a unique and unforgettable experience for our guests. We take pride in our culinary excellence and are currently seeking a talented and passionate Chef/Cook to join our team for the summer season.
Job Description:
Create seasonal cafe-style menus based on available stock and supplier seasonality.
There are also winter positions available for the right candidate when you can see the mountains transform into a Winter Wonderland.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock control and ordering, adhering to a food costed budget.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring high-quality and consistent taste.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef or Cook in a commercial kitchen.
- Collaborate with the hotel team to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Interact with guests and providing excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a small kitchen team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Must have valid work visa for Australia from November 2026 to may 2027
