Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Project Manager, Capital Works to join the Engineering team.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of capital works projects across the Engineering and Capital Development portfolio, managing projects from initiation and planning through design, procurement, construction, commissioning,



and close-out.

The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget, while maintaining service continuity in a live hospital workplace and complying with approved governance, funding, and statutory requirements.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Proven project management experience in capital and building works
- Demonstrated achievement in delivering high value capital projects, achieving KPI's, meeting budget targets and being able to adjust to increasing financial pressure.
- Leading change through people and systems
- Motivating, empowering and influencing others
- Developing collaborative relationships
- Evidence of good negotiation skills and a collaborative approach with members of interdisciplinary teams, committees and groups to ensuring engagement in projects
- Exceptional ability to negotiate and influence others
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels
- Ability to work with stakeholders in the facilitation of solutions, and to develop engagement and understanding, extensive experience in clinical settings.
- Ability to understand patient flow and apply clinical and operational knowledge to hospital design.




- Ability to communicate with broad range of stakeholders- Executive, managerial, technical and vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
