We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Butcher to join our client’s flagship city store. About the Role
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for a range of butchery duties while also assisting customers across the fresh food department. You will play a key role in maintaining product quality, food safety standards, and an outstanding shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Cutting, slicing, grinding and preparing meat products for sale
- Weighing, packaging, pricing and merchandising products
- Maintaining attractive displays and accurate signage
- Conducting quality checks and ensuring product freshness
- Assisting customers with product advice, orders and enquiries
- Supporting stock control, stock rotation and inventory management
- Adhering to food safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
- Assisting with delicatessen customer service as required
- Working collaboratively with supervisors and the wider store





About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience as a butcher in a retail or commercial environment
- Strong knife skills and meat preparation knowledge
- A commitment to food safety and quality standards
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and presentation
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy team environment
- A positive, reliable and professional attitude
- A commitment to workplace health and safety practices
