About the role

This is a unique prospect to lead asset management capability across one of Australia's most dynamic capital cities. As the Manager Asset Management, you'll play a critical role in shaping how Council plans, manages, and invests in its assets through trusted asset data, robust analysis, and evidence-based decisions that deliver long-term value for the community.

Leading a high-performing team, you will be responsible for overseeing Council's asset management systems, asset registers, data governance, renewal modelling and fixed asset reporting. You will ensure the integrity, quality and accessibility of asset information, enabling informed decisions on asset performance, renewal investment, lifecycle management and long-term financial sustainability.

Beyond leading your team, you'll act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across Council, fostering a culture that embeds asset management excellence into everything we do.

This is a role for someone who enjoys thinking strategically, influencing outcomes, and partnering across diverse business areas to deliver sustainable solutions. You'll provide leadership in the implementation and continuous improvement of Council's corporate asset management strategy, systems, and modelling tools, ensuring future asset decisions are informed by economic, social, and environmental sustainability considerations.

Why join Team Melbourne?
