About the role
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ACT is Australia's prominent animal welfare organisation providing a strong voice for animals experiencing cruelty and neglect. We are committed to the care and welfare of animals, providing extensive professional facilities, including a fully equipped veterinary hospital with dedicated staff to care for animals. There are opportunities to join us on either a full-time, part time or casual basis that may require some weekends and on-call work. We also welcome New Grads to apply.
Key responsibilities
- Provide veterinary consulting, treatment and surgical care
- Care for animals in our veterinary hospital
- Contribute to animal welfare outcomes
About you
- Appropriate Veterinary Science qualification with registration for Veterinary's Board of ACT or equivalent recognised registration
- Surgical & Consulting experience
- A great work ethic
- A team player
- A passion for animal welfare
- A passion for fostering great customer relations
- Experience in not-for-profit would be an advantage
- Experience with wildlife would also be an advantage
