We’re looking for a full time creative, highly organised Events & Marketing Coordinator to take a hands-on role in planning and delivering our busy calendar of community events while supporting engaging social media and digital content.
From community events and expos to carer activities, you’ll help coordinate events from initial planning and promotion through to delivery and follow-up.
You’ll manage the practical details that make an event successful, including event timelines, suppliers, registrations, promotional collateral, run sheets, on-the-day coordination and post-event activity. You’ll also help promote the events you coordinate, creating engaging content and collateral to build awareness and encourage attendance.
Alongside events, you’ll capture and create engaging content that brings our communities and brands to life across social media and digital channels.
Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager and working alongside a supportive wider team, you’ll manage your day-to-day workload with autonomy, with guidance and support close at hand.
What you'll be doing
Events & Community Engagement
- Plan, coordinate and deliver community events and expos from concept through to completion.
- Develop event plans, timelines, checklists, run sheets and post-event actions.
- Coordinate venues, suppliers, stallholders, entertainment, catering, sponsors, stakeholders and community partners.
- Manage event registrations, ticketing, RSVPs and attendee communications.
- Promote events across appropriate channels to build awareness and encourage registrations and attendance.
- Create event promotional collateral, including flyers, invitations, social media content, signage and other materials in line with brand guidelines.
- Create a warm, welcoming and inclusive experience for guests from arrival through to departure.
- Actively engage with attendees, helping people feel comfortable, included and connected throughout events.
- Be attentive to individual needs and proactively assist guests who may require additional support to participate.
- Support introductions and social connection between attendees, particularly at community and carer events.
- Monitor the guest experience throughout the event and respond quickly and respectfully to any concerns or issues.
- Coordinate event budgets, purchasing requirements and expenditure within approved parameters.
- Organise signage, merchandise,
promotional materials and event collateral.
- Manage practical event logistics including bump-in, setup, event delivery and pack-down.
- Provide confident on-the-day event coordination, responding to issues and keeping activities running to schedule.
- Capture event photography and video, with appropriate consent, for use across approved channels.
- Support fundraising initiatives and promotional activities.
- Review event outcomes, attendance and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
Social Media & Content
- Create engaging reels, short-form videos, photography and graphics across our brands.
- Capture authentic on-site content at events, services and community activities.
- Develop social content to promote events before, during and after delivery.
- Support the scheduling of approved content across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Assist with website, EDM and digital content to support event and community campaigns.
We are looking for someone who
- Has demonstrated experience coordinating events from planning through to on-the-day delivery.
- Can confidently manage multiple events, deadlines and competing priorities.
- Is comfortable coordinating venues, suppliers, stakeholders, logistics and event run sheets.
- Is comfortable creating promotional content and actively promoting the events they coordinate.
- Enjoys being hands-on, from planning at their desk to setting up and coordinating an event on site.
- Remains calm, organised and solutions-focused when plans change.
- Is naturally warm, approachable and confident engaging with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Has strong social media instincts and confidence producing engaging video and photography content.
- Writes transparent, engaging copy for event promotion, social media and digital communications.
- Is confident using Canva, Adobe Express or similar creative tools.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite, Ads Manager, CRM platforms such as HubSpot will be viewed favourably.
- Understands the importance of privacy,
consent and respectful storytelling, particularly when working with older people and community members.
- Is collaborative, organised and has excellent attention to detail.
This role will suit you if

Just as importantly, you’re a visible and welcoming presence for our guests, making sure people feel comfortable, included and connected.
You’re also comfortable picking up a camera or phone to capture moments in the community or at an event and turning those moments into engaging content.
This is a growing and varied role, so you’ll bring flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive, can-do approach, with the confidence to adapt as priorities and opportunities evolve.
Qualifications & demonstrated capability
A qualification in Marketing, Communications, Events Management, Digital Marketing or a related discipline is desirable; however, demonstrated practical experience will be highly regarded.
Candidates will be required to provide examples of recent work, demonstrating experience in:
- Planning, coordinating and delivering events from concept through to completion.
- Developing event promotions, campaigns and supporting collateral.
- Creating engaging social media content, including Reels/short-form video, photography, graphics and written content.
