Heka Hoods is a nationally recognised business, locally owned and operated, established right here on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. We are seeking a skilled labourer who can use their technical and analytical skills in a task focused and fast-paced environment.
The Role
As a Fabrication Labourer your focus will be delivering high quality and detailed Quality Assurance checks, based on established standards and procedures. Precise and consistent work output is essential, requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. You will work alongside a team of experienced tradespeople in a supportive, collaborative, and dynamic environment.
Trade qualified and skilled labourers with an eye for detail, wanting to grow and develop within their role are invited to apply.
What You’ll Do:
- Reading and interpreting basic workshop drawings and comparing to finished product for accuracy of measurements and angles.
- Evaluating the quality of workmanship.
- Use an orbital sander and other hand tools to prepare aluminium for powder coating.
- Lifting and manoeuvring sheet metal (up to 20kg).
- Adhering to all safety and quality assurance procedures.
You'll thrive in this role if you have the following skills and experience.
- Experienced Labourer or a similar role in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
- Experience using an industrial guillotine is highly regarded.
- Fit and capable of lifting loads up to 20kgs.
- A strong attention to detail.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- Taking care and pride in your work.
- You are a collaborative team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Skill to meet daily deadlines/KPIs and work proactively.
- Ability to comply with Workplace Health and Safety Regulations.
