Joyce Mechanical Services has ongoing workshop work secured, and we're looking for experienced Diesel Fitters to join our Mackay workshop team.
Our purpose-built workshop facility has the capacity and resources to take on major machinery work, from component repairs through to large-scale machine overhauls.
This is hands-on work for people who enjoy working on big gear and seeing a job through from start to finish.
You'll be involved in full-life rebuilds — stripping machines down, carrying out repairs and component work, and rebuilding them ready to return to work.

The Work
Our Mackay workshop is purpose-built for the work we do, with six large workshop bays, a fully undercover washpad, compliant paint booth, fully equipped fabrication shop and tool warehouse.
You'll work across:
- Full-life machine rebuilds and overhauls
- Major component repairs and rebuilds
- CAT and Komatsu equipment
- Mechanical repairs and servicing
- Inspections and fault finding
- HME maintenance
- Large-scale workshop projects
You'll be working alongside a team of highly trained specialists, where attention to detail and high standards aren't just words — they're how we approach the work.
What you'll bring
We're looking for experienced Diesel Fitters who take pride in the work they do.
You'll have:
- Diesel Fitting trade qualification
- Experience working on CAT and/or Komatsu equipment
- Proven HME maintenance and rebuild experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine commitment to safety and quality workmanship
