Cruise Craft Boats is seeking an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our team in Murarrie. This is a part-time role working school hours, 3 - 5 days per week, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on a variety of marine upholstery and soft furnishings projects.
Including boat seating, cushions, canopies, and canvas work.
Trainee machinists are welcome to apply.
The Role
- Working school hours, 3,4 or 5 days per week ( Flexible Hours for school pickup and drop off )
9:00am - 2:30pm
- Sewing and trim work across our boat range, including seating, bolsters, canopies, and interior fit-out
- Working closely with our production and manufacturing team to deliver our high-quality finish standards
- Operate industrial sewing machines and overlockers to craft professional-grade curtains and drapes.
- Accurately measure, cut, and assemble Vinyl and Canvas materials
- Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, finish,
and durability.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team workplace.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience with industrial sewing machines and overlockers.
- A strong eye for detail and quality control.
- Physical ability to handle and cut heavy fabrics.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in Marine Sewing is great ! however candidates from related industries with transferable skills will be highly considered.
