About the Role

SSP Australia is looking for experienced and motivated Café and Bar Supervisors to join our team at Canberra Airport.

We have both full-time and part time opportunities available, making this a great option for experienced hospitality leaders looking for a stable role, career progression, or greater flexibility.

You will work across a busy airport hospitality environment, helping lead day-to-day operations, support team members and deliver a consistently high standard of service.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work alongside your team, solve problems as they arise and help create a positive and productive workplace.

Depending on your experience and interests, opportunities are available across both café and bar operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Supervisor, you will:

- Lead and support the team during daily service.

- Coordinate shifts and ensure smooth venue operations.

- Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

- Coach and develop team members through practical, on-shift leadership.

- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation.

- Support opening, closing and cash-handling procedures.

- Monitor service standards and respond quickly to operational issues.

- Assist with stock management, waste control and venue performance.

- Lead by example and help create a positive team culture.

About You

We are looking for people who enjoy hospitality, take pride in leading a team and are comfortable working in a busy environment.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or senior hospitality team member.

- Experience working in a café, bar, restaurant or quick-service environment.

- Strong communication and people-management skills.

- A hands-on, lead-by-example approach.

- Good food safety knowledge.

- Confidence working independently and making decisions during service.

- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.

- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods.





- Flexible availability across airport operating hours.

For bar-based roles, previous bar experience and applicable RSA requirements will be highly regarded.
