Dental Assistant & Receptionist | Part-Time & Full-Time

National Dental Care is seeking two dynamic, highly organised and experienced team members to join our friendly team at Port Kennedy Central Dental Care.

We have two separate positions available:

- Dental Assistant – Permanent Part-Time

- Receptionist – Permanent Full-Time

Both positions are available for an immediate start, with on-the-job training provided. These are excellent opportunities for individuals looking to build a career in the dental industry.

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant in our thriving Port Kennedy practice, you’ll play an key role in supporting our clinicians and providing a positive patient experience. You’ll assist with clinical treatment, sterilisation and the smooth day-to-day running of the practice, while working closely with the wider team.

As a Receptionist in our thriving Port Kennedy practice, you’ll be the first point of contact for our patients and play an important role in the smooth running of the practice.



You’ll provide friendly and professional patient service while managing reception and general administrative duties and supporting the wider practice team.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting Dentists and Oral Health Therapists during patient examinations and procedures

- Preparing, cleaning and sterilising dental instruments and equipment

- Maintaining a high level of infection control at all times

- Providing exceptional customer service and patient care

- Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments

- Managing incoming and outgoing phone calls

- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation

- Organising laboratory work and supporting clinical workflows

- General reception and administration duties

- Ensuring the practice remains clean, organised and welcoming for patients

Skills & Experience

You have:

- Minimum 1 years' experience working in a dental practice

- No qualifications necessary but will be highly considered

- Sound computer literacy skills with proficiency in the MS Office suite

- Previous experience using Dental4Windows (D4W) is essential

- Part-Time Dental Assistant - Availability to work between Monday to Thursday, 7:45am to 5:45pm

- Full-Time Receptionist - Availability to work full-time hours

with strong written and verbal communication skills

- Friendly, approachable and professional in your interactions with patients and colleagues

- A motivated team player with a positive, can-do attitude

- Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment

- Able to show initiative and work independently when required

- Passionate about providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive workplace culture

- Eager to learn new skills and develop a long-term career within the dental industry
