Client Profile
This is an exciting chance to join a new hospitality concept in Melbourne’s inner east, being developed by experienced operators with a clear vision to create a genuine neighbourhood destination. Designed to become a hub for the local community, the venue will offer produce driven breakfast and lunch with a focus on simple food, excellent execution and warm, engaging service. The operation is expected to be high volume, particularly across breakfast and lunch, while initially maintaining a predominantly daytime trading model.
Job Description
The Restaurant Manager will take ownership of the front of house operation, working closely with the senior leadership team to establish the venue’s culture, systems and service standards from the ground up.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a mature and experienced hospitality professional who has operated at a high level within a quality restaurant, busy all day venue or similarly food focused environment. They will combine strong operational capability with a genuine passion for people and service.
This role will suit someone who wants to remain closely connected to the floor and the guest experience, while moving away from the demands of a traditional late night restaurant environment. A warm, confident and authentic leadership style will be highly valued, alongside an understanding of quality food, wine and contemporary restaurant service.
- Proven experience managing a quality restaurant or high volume hospitality venue
- Strong understanding of food, wine and contemporary service standards
- Hands on leader who genuinely enjoys being on the floor
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a young hospitality team
- Warm, confident and personable approach with a strong focus on guest relationships
Offer
This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new hospitality destination from the ground up, working alongside experienced operators with a serious approach to food and hospitality. The role offers the opportunity to lead a substantial operation while enjoying a predominantly daytime trading model and a more sustainable lifestyle than traditional late night restaurant management.
