Payroll Officer needed for an immediate start in Liverpool.

An established and highly regarded organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to join its People & Culture team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a complex environment, providing expert payroll support, managing employee benefits administration, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Working within a collaborative team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services while providing advice and support to employees and stakeholders across the organisation.
Your new role
- End-to-end payroll processing within strict payroll deadlines.
- Undertake complex payroll calculations, adjustments and reconciliations.
- Process employee commencements, employment changes and terminations.
- Manage superannuation, workers compensation and statutory payroll obligations.
- Assist with parental leave administration and payroll-related employee benefits.
- Prepare payroll reports, analytics and ad hoc reporting as required.
- Respond to payroll enquiries and provide high-quality advice to stakeholders.
- Support payroll compliance, audit requirements and legislative obligations.
- Assist with payroll projects, system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to maintaining accurate employee records and payroll data integrity.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience within a medium to large organisation.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and employee entitlements.
- Experience managing complex payroll transactions and reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, data analysis and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritise competing deadlines within a quick-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Aurion experience would be preferred
