A prestigious, market-leading Japanese Restaurant in Brisbane seeks Skilled Japanese Cuisine Chefs to join its brigade. Our venue's vision blends traditional Japanese techniques with innovative flavors, offering guests an unforgettable dining experience, featuring only the finest ingredients and expert culinary craftsmanship.
The Role
We are seeking Chefs across multiple sections and levels to join a well-structured, professional brigade:

- Teppanyaki Chefs (guest-facing, performance-based cooking)
- Sushi / Sashimi Chefs (precision, knife skills, presentation)
- Hot Kitchen Chefs (traditional Japanese + modern service)

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, premium setting where consistency, technique, and teamwork are critical. You will work across a structured section within a high-end Japanese kitchen, preparing and executing dishes with a strong focus on detail and presentation while delivering consistent service in a fast-paced environment. In Teppanyaki roles, you will engage directly with guests, providing a polished and interactive dining experience. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization at all times,



while supporting junior chefs and contributing to the overall performance of the kitchen team.
Skills and Experience

- Experience in Japanese cuisine OR strong willingness to learn
- Teppanyaki / Sushi experience highly regarded but not essential for all roles
- Strong knife skills, prep ability, and service awareness
- Ability to work under pressure in a quality-driven environment
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Relevant cookery qualifications preferred• Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety
