Job Title: Business Analyst | Payments Transformation
Join a major whole-of-government reform as a Business Analyst, supporting the transition away from cheque payments through requirements elicitation, process analysis, business artefacts and Business Verification Testing.

Work Arrangement: Full Time
Contract Duration: ASAP – 30 June 2027
Security Clearance Requirement: Baseline
Closing Date: 10.00am, 18 September 2026

Essential Tasks:

- Facilitate workshops to elicit and document business requirements for the removal of cheque payment functionality.
- Analyse current-state processes, payment use cases and future-state business needs.
- Develop detailed business requirement specifications and process maps.
- Lead Business Verification Testing, including test cases, test data, business testers and results reporting.

Key Criteria:

- At least 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst.
- Detailed knowledge of Medicare and/or corporate payment processes and associated ICT payment systems.




- Experience documenting detailed business requirements and facilitating requirements gathering workshops.
- Experience coordinating acceptance testing processes; cheque or other payment process knowledge is desirable.
