Gove District Hospital in the Northern Territory is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Maternity and Delivery team on a contract basis. This is a six to twelve-week placement starting 26 November 2026, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic maternity service delivering care to mothers and newborns in a regional healthcare setting.
- Provide direct clinical care in maternity and delivery, supporting women through labour and birth
- Work with a dedicated maternity team in a regional hospital setting
- Contract role, six to twelve weeks, commencing 26 November 2026
Preferred Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse at RN 2.6 level or above
- Demonstrated experience in maternity and delivery nursing
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary maternity team
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Completion of FSEP or OFSEP (Flexible Scope of Emergency Procedures or Overseas-trained Foreign Scope of Emergency Procedures) as required on submission
- Post-graduate qualification or substantial experience in midwifery or maternal health nursing
