Tumby Bay Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Medical, Psychiatric and Surgical (MPS) team, covering Emergency, Acute, and Aged Care services. This is a part-time contract role (0.74 FTE, 56 hours per fortnight) based in Tumby Bay, South Australia, running for six weeks from 17 September 2026. The successful candidate will bring rural and remote nursing experience to a dynamic healthcare setting, with the flexibility to support operational needs across multiple service areas.

- Part-time contract: 56 hours per fortnight across ED, Acute, and Aged Care
- Rural and Remote Allowance (MM6) recognising the regional location
- Six-week placement starting 17 September 2026, with potential for redeployment based on clinical need

Preferred Requirements

- Current Registered Nurse (RN1) registration with AHPRA




- Demonstrated experience in Emergency Department, Acute, and Aged Care nursing
- Proven experience working in rural and remote healthcare settings
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple service areas and adapt to changing operational priorities
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills in a fast-paced setting

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience or familiarity with rural and remote nursing frameworks and protocols
