Senior Accountant

Are you an experienced accountant with solid attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for financial reporting, cash flow management, and business improvement? We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing accounts receivable and cash flow, maintaining fixed asset and lease accounting records, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and providing valuable financial insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial reports, and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Manage month-end and year-end accounting processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other accounting adjustments.

- Manage and oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing, debtor reconciliations, collections, and follow-up of outstanding accounts.

- Prepare and review aged debtor reports and work with relevant teams to improve collections and cash conversion.

- Manage and monitor cash flow, including daily cash positions, short-term cash flow forecasting, and working capital requirements.

- Perform credit card reconciliations, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded, appropriately supported, and reconciled on a timely basis.

- Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and regular reconciliation to the general ledger.

- Prepare weekly and monthly management reports for management meetings, including financial performance, revenue, expenses, cash flow, accounts receivable, key variances, and other relevant financial KPIs.

- Assist with statutory reporting, tax compliance, and other regulatory requirements.

- Support external and internal audits and provide requested financial information and documentation.





- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, financial controls, systems, and reporting.

- Work closely with operational and management teams to provide financial analysis and support informed business decisions.

What We’re Looking For

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

- CPA/CA qualification or working towards qualification is highly desirable.

- Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or similar accounting role.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end processes.

- Strong experience in accounts receivable, credit control, debt collection, and debtor management.

- Demonstrated experience in cash flow management, forecasting, and working capital management.

- Experience with fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and maintaining asset registers.

- Experience with lease accounting and lease reconciliations.

- Strong experience in balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations.

- Robust Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.

- Experience with Xero and other accounting systems.

- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance teams.

- A proactive approach with a strong focus on process improvement, financial controls, and continuous development.
