ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering engaging, innovative and inclusive Science lessons that foster curiosity and a genuine love of learning. You will teach students across Years 7–12 and have the ability to teach Chemistry, Physics or Biology at a Senior level.

To be successful for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:

- Current Teacher Registration with the QLD College of Teachers, or ability to achieve registration.

- Experience teaching secondary science (an ability to teach across multiple disciplines within the Science Department would be advantageous).

- The ability to engage evidence and data-informed instructional strategies and develop a deep understanding of students, curriculum, and assessment practices to plan, deliver,



assess and report on student achievement.

- The ability to create a culture of learning and achievement through effective planning, student management, classroom resource organisation and engaging learning strategies.

- A proactive and self-driven commitment to professional learning and development, and actively collaborates with colleagues to enhance collective teacher efficacy to benefit student engagement and achievement.

- Exemplary skilled manner, interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated team leadership and membership skills and an overt desire and willingness to work positively within a team.

- An enthusiastic desire and resolute commitment to contribute to the culture, values, and broader professional co-curricular and extra-curricular life of the College.

- An understanding of and commitment to child protection and the ethos of an Anglican school
