Down Syndrome Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1978 to provide support, information and resources to people with Down syndrome, their families and the broader community.
We work alongside people with Down syndrome and their families to reach their potential and live the lives they choose.
Down Syndrome Victoria – Club21 and Fitskills21
We are seeking Facilitators to support DSV in the delivery of their Club21 and Fitskills21 programs
About the programs
Club21
Club21 is a social program designed to foster friendship, peer support, and community inclusion. It offers activities within the community, allowing participants to engage in opportunities that support their NDIS goals and promote the inclusion and acceptance of people with Down syndrome.

FitSkills21
FitSkills21 is an evidence-based, physical activity program designed for individuals with Down syndrome. Participants attend weekly facilitated 1-hour workouts at the gym with a volunteer partner, followed by a social meal. The program is tailored by a physiotherapist. FitSkills21 aims to enhance fitness and well-being through a supportive and inclusive approach

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Facilitators to support Club21 and FitSkills21 in the following locations:
- Club21 Bendigo (casual, relief role)
- FitSkills21 Bendigo (casual, relief role)
*shifts are between 3 - 4hrs
About the role
DSV facilitators play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for individuals with Down Syndrome. They are responsible for leading group activities that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of participants. By promoting social interaction, skill development, and community engagement, facilitators ensure everyone has the prospect to participate and thrive.
Key deliverables:
- Leading the activity on the day ensuring smooth delivery for participants and supporting volunteers
- Creating opportunities for adults with Down syndrome to enhance their social skills, confidence, and achieve their individual goals
- Ensure all activities comply with DSV policy and procedures and NDIS Practice Standards
